Veteran rapper artist from Chinese Mainland, J-Fever, will host the “Freestyling Everything” Rap Masterclass, guiding participants to explore self-expression through freestyle rap and linguistic interactions. He will also host the “Hip-Hop Music and Life” workshop on campus, sharing intercultural creative experiences, and present the “Oriental Rap” Prelude Concert which kicks off this year's event.
Local musician Pun Kuan Pou will lead a line-up of young musicians to create a pop-rock hush! Theme song that blends Chinese and Western instruments in “Let's Create the hush! Theme Song Together”, and complete with the production of an exclusive music video. DJ SAIYAN will host a DJ workshop, explaining electronic music and DJ culture from the basic, teaching core skills such as beatmatching, EQ control and mixing, complemented by plenty of hands-on practice and one-on-one guidance. Furthermore, Musicians Jason Chang and Wan Si Lok will jointly host the “AI-assisted Music Creation Experience” workshop, guiding students to complete a musical piece by using human demo as the basis for creation and AI as an aid.
In order to integrate music into the community, the event will launch the activity “Rock Hop Express - Macau Music City Tour Trilogy”, including the “Rock-Themed Double-Decker Open-Top Bus”, which will take participants to travel through the Macao Peninsula and Taipa while listening to music and the development of local music and urban stories shared by local musicians; the “Mobile Rock Flash Mob Stage”, which features local musicians to present mini-live performances at open space adjacent to the Flower City Park, the temporary leisure area in Doca do Lam Mau, and the leisure area in Edf. Lok Yeong Fa Yuen; the “Macao City Music Exploration Initiative”, which features performances by local musicians at cafes, bars and trendy spaces across various districts, inviting residents and tourists to scan the QR code and explore the musical stories in the city. In addition, the “hush! on Campus” series will invite local musicians such as Project 10 (Ho Ka Teng), FIDA, Ying May Supermarket and Gabriel to perform on campus, bringing rich and diverse musical experiences to young students and inspiring their interest in band performances.
Besides, a variety of activities combining music, sports, and beach vibes will be held at Hac Sa Beach. The activity “Run • Sing • Play” breaks through the traditional music festival with the combination of light jogging, musical challenges, and interactive beach games. The “DIWA ELECTRONIC” held at Hac Sa Beach for the third consecutive year, curated by local electronic music label, features interactive performances by DJs and street dance teams, as well as an interactive glowing dance floor. The band Náv will host a Darbuka workshop, guiding participants to learn about the Middle Eastern drums and basic rhythms, and release stress through playing drum circles.
